Somber gamer play Soul Calibur 3 in tournament

Posted in Arcade, Fun Stuff, Games, Internet, Japanese, Soul Calibur, Soul Calibur III at 11:05 pm by anonymous

I find this quite amusing, watch how serious this japanese gamer play Soul Calibur 3 in a tournament at Japan. Ironically, he still lost in the end. The other player is also quite a joker, he must have wondered why that guy crush-gripped his hand. Maybe thereafter he can’t play properly. Watch until the end, you’ll find him doing some dumb act. lol.

Xedo Holocaust

Posted in Animation, Bittorrent, File-Sharing News, Fun Stuff, Internet, Odex, Singapore, Videos at 4:11 pm by anonymous

This Odex phenomenon was made into an ‘Anime’ by local NCH Production. This is just plain hilarious when you watched the video until the end (yeah, the laughters). I’m not sure what Holocaust mean, but Ode-x has been referred to as Xedo, Starhub as Moonhub (lmao), SingNet as TenGins (reversed order). Video after the jump.

Singapore anime downloading situation worsens

Posted in Animes, Bittorrent, File-Sharing News, Internet, Odex, Singapore, Videos at 7:38 pm by anonymous

Starhub & SingNet ISPs ordered by court to reveal customers who download licensed anime videos illegally.

A Singapore video distributor said Tuesday it has won a suit against an Internet service provider asking for the identities of customers alleged to have downloaded popular Japanese animated cartoons.

Anime distributor Odex Pt. Ltd. said StarHub, a telecommunications, Internet and cable company, was ordered to reveal about 1,000 of its subscribers accused of downloading anime illegally.

StarHub had earlier resisted Odex’s efforts to obtain the data, citing “an obligation to protect our customers’ information.”

“In the instance of Odex, they have satisfied the court of their need for the information. As such, we will comply with the court order,” said StarHub spokesman Michael Sim.

Singapore anime downloaders charged

THE 9-year-old was caught illegally downloading Japanese anime online.

Now, the child’s parents have received a letter from Japanese animated cartoons distributor Odex telling them to go the company’s office to discuss the matter, if they don’t want to face legal proceedings. Similar letters were first sent out in May, when the company began cracking down on local Internet users who had been illegally downloading the cartoons.

Gaming Passion

Posted in Arcade, Games, Gaming News, PS3, Soul Calibur, Soul Calibur III, Soul Calibur IV, XBox 360 at 12:26 am by anonymous

I was viewing Nakenashi Wisdom blog and was quite impressed by the illustrating skill of the author. His latest work is an artwork of Ivy from Soul Calibur series. It happened that I’m an avid fan of Soul Calibur III, 3D arcade fighting game (no capcom vs snk). Been playing SCIII for few months, kind of addicted to it haha.

Soul Calibur IV

Sighs, even my school course teaches game programming but I don’t think my school have the industry standard of such games. I feel kind of regret to specialize in that programming area. Kind of struggled through the course with no basic foundation of C++ in Year 1 semesters. Wtf, learn directX9 in 5 months? (No way! Probably just 1/10 of directX9 i think. directX10 is out already. By the time I finish serving army, probably directX15. lmao) Anyway, I’ve already graduated so it’s no use to rant about it anymore.. GG to those newly specialized in my course. xD

Soul Calibur IV is scheduled to release next year on 2008 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. At Nakenashi’s blog, he posted a link (here) to updates of SCIV in the making. The graphics is absolutely stunning even though is not finalized, graphics of SCIII is already amazing. More SCIV screenshots and videos after the jump.

How to Stop Software Pirates

Posted in File-Sharing News, Internet, News, People, Softwares at 4:21 pm by anonymous

Just ask them nicely.

A small developer sees his work pirated on the internet, what can he do about it with his tiny resources? Easy. He emails the warez group, turns on the charm and asks them nicely to leave him alone in the future – and they agree!

Organizations such as the MPAA, RIAA and IFPI spend millions of dollars enforcing copyrights by getting people fined and even jailed for file-sharing.
